developed a fully automated, concrete thermal expansion testing machine.  
The CTE-200 follows the AASHTO T 336-09 standard.  We have worked
closely with t
ransportation materials engineers in developing the CTE-200,
and are proud to have the first, commercially available, automated,
concrete thermal expansion testing machine.

Y
The Challenge Technology CTE-200 is a fully automated testing machine
for measuring concrete thermal expansion characteristics of four inch
diameter concrete cylinders, that are 7.5 inches in height.  The CTE-200
comes with one measuring frame, and can be expanded with a second
frame for measuring two samples simultaneously.  The system comes with a
preprogrammed computer, that controls, measures, and records all CTE
data and shuts down upon test completion.  The operator places the
sample into the test frame, then enters the sample height and the data file
name at the beginning of the test, then the testing proceeds unattended.  
The CTE-200 includes a 304 stainless steel calibration standard and
calibration software for automated calculation of frame correction factor.  
The CTE-200 software follows the AASHTO T 336-09 testing protocol.  The
Challenge Technology CTE-200 includes testing frame with LVDT, USB
control interface, insulated water bath, calibration sample, and computer
with CTE-200 software.  The CTE-200 is a rugged, dependable testing
machine, backed by the Challenge Technology reputation for building the
highest quality testing equipment available.
